Hi,

I remember reading here some time ago that this bread was 1pt/pce. The NI on my packet is 187KJ and less than 0.1 sat fat. On my WW calc this comes to 1/2 pt per piece, hard to believe it is so low in points. Can anyone clarify this please? :)

That sounds about right, I buy the small lebanese bread, which are actually still quite a good size, for 1 point each. They make great pizza's.

BEWARE!!! I used to buy the larger Jabal lebanese breads as they worked out just under 1 point per piece for the wheatmeal ones - according to the nutritional value. I used to eat about a pack a day - I know it was bad but I loe my carbs & thought if I'm eating something within my points & not going over it doesn't really matter. I used to count the packet at 6 points. One day I rechecked the nutritional info & they had put a sticker over the printed info on the wrapper. They turned out at 3 or 3.5 points each! - Sorry, can't remember exactly as this was a long time ago. I was counting 18-21 points as 6 points - as you would with the info that was provided on the wrapper. I wondered why I wasn't losing weight & feeling bloated. I have never bought the Jabal breads since. I did notice the other day that they have mini ones but I wouldn't trust their nutritional info - just my opinion. Good luck.

Oh Goodness me Letty-that's terrible. I'll have to try and find out from the company so I can be sure, thanks for that.

I have just called the company and the N.I. IS INCORRECT. the 187 is calories NOT kiljoules. So I converted it to KJ 187cal=785kj, so each one of these small breads are 2.5pts each!!! Well I enjoyed them greatly when I thought they were under a point, but won't be buying them now :(

Oh and the guy said it was only the packet of SMALL ones that was incorrect, all the others are OK.

Hi
Just wanted to add that I too bought the larger ones until the next time I got them and there was a sticker over the usual nutritional information and they were a LOT higher in points!!
Needless to say I never bought them again after that. The info was very VERY misleading.
